Environmental Statement

Sustainability is very important to us at Lexi&Bö. Our products are made from 100% organic cotton and manufactured in Portugal by GOTS-certified production partners. Lexi&Bö itself does not currently hold a GOTS brand certification. We have developed our products to be as durable as possible and want to help counter the trend towards fast fashion.

We deliberately chose Portugal as our production location to keep transport routes as short as possible and reduce CO2 emissions. For customer shipments, we use recycled paper and cardboard packaging and avoid plastic. Goods delivered to us still arrive in polybags, but we agreed with our supplier in Portugal that the products would not be packed individually. Instead, 25 to 30 items are placed in each bag. Rather than printing invoices and placing them in parcels, we send them to our customers as PDF files in a separate email. This saves a meaningful amount of paper.

We ship our products through DHL GoGreen. As a small company, we have also been able to integrate our office into our home, avoiding long commutes and unnecessary emissions. The electrical equipment in our warehouse and all other rooms runs on green electricity. Our website provider also uses renewable energy. We use energy-saving lighting throughout the company. To give something back to the environment, we have supported marine conservation projects since the company was founded and intend to continue doing so.

We have also set ourselves the goal of finding a new supplier for our hangtags. Although our tags are FSC certified and sourced through a German supplier, we learned that they were manufactured in Hong Kong. That long transport route is not compatible with our aim of keeping CO2 emissions as low as possible, so we plan to work with a regional manufacturer in future. For the same reason, we intend to favour airlines that offer carbon-neutral options for future business and private travel.
